Bio
Samuel was the last of the Judges of Israel who helped lead the people between the times of Joshua and the first Israelite king. Samuel was also a prophet who, at the request of the people of Israel, anointed the first Israelite king, Saul. Following God’s rejection of Saul as king due to his sin, God told Samuel to anoint David as the future king of Israel (shown in picture).
